Headsets for Mobile Customer Service

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

The world of customer service has grown immensely over the years as the focus on quality customer interactions offers business success.

And while there are many differing levels of customer service, many customer service reps today find themselves out in the field, interacting with customers in a bid to meet their company's goals at an even faster rate.

Along with this increased mobility of customer service reps comes a need for them to be able to communicate, clearly and effectively, no matter where they are.

For this reason, sound quality is a very important factor. Clear, reliable audio quality transmits important details that are vital in securing customers.

And because customer service can happen on so many different levels, a quality experience, even if it's just one contact with the customer, is very important.

Sennheiser offers two specific headsets that work both in the office and on the road and that are a perfect fit for mobile customer service needs.

The first headset, the Sennheiser BW900 offers quality sound, comfort and reliability.

With Sennheiser's proprietary Adaptive Intelligence technology, the headsets are able to adjust volume and mic sensitivity based on the users environment and are even capable of learning a users preferred audio settings for future sessions.

The headset is also lightweight, compact and can connect with Bluetooth capable mobile phones. This means customer service reps in the field won't have to worry about clear communications and can continue to offer quality service no matter where they are.

Eric Palonen, Product Manager for Sennheiser Consumer Electronics & Telecommunications told TMCnet in a past interview, “The Sennheiser BW900 is the ideal wireless solution in a professional customer-oriented environment. Our extended range, exclusive DSP functions [Adaptive Intelligence] and the capability for uninterrupted, 24 hour continuous talk time enable users the most efficient management of their daily tasks."

For road warriors and those spending their work days out in the field, Sennheiser also offers the VMX100, a Bluetooth headset that includes Sennhiser's VoiceMax dual microphone technology and which makes it possible to have a cleaner, higher quality conversation for both callers. With the inclusion of the technology noise on both ends of the call is filtered out and conversations can go on uninterrupted.

“From a technological perspective, the VMX 100 is an industry marvel. It effectively improves the quality of mobile phone conversations and adapts to user behavior in most call situations. This eliminates the need for constant manual adjustments making it as easy to use as it is to wear," Andreas Bach, General Manager of Sennheiser Communications (News - Alert) was quoted as saying.

In this way, it is possible to guarantee customers will clearly hear reps, and won't have to repeat themselves. And quality, memorable experiences can go a long way in the race to secure a loyal customer base.
