Dave Petricig Returns to ClearOne as Vice President of North American Telephony Sales
By Patrick Barnard, Senior Web Editor, TMCnet
Audio conferencing solutions provider ClearOne (News - Alert) has appointed Dave Petricig, most recently with SpireGlobal, as its new vice president of North American telephony sales.
Petricig -- a former ClearOne employee -- has more than 13 years of experience in audio, video and web conferencing products and services. He has worked on the manufacturing, distribution and reseller side of the industry. While at SpireGlobal -- the exclusive U.S. sales, marketing and support arm for Sony -- he served as director of channel sales. In that role he worked closely with the company’s manufacturer reps to grow the business, as well as managing relationships with direct distributors and reseller partners.
Prior to SpireGlobal, Petricig served as director of North American channel sales at ClearOne and director of sales and audio products at ReView Video.
Petricig has also held roles with Polycom (News - Alert), CommuniTech Inc. and U.S. Robobics. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University.
Petricig will report directly to Joe Sorrentino, ClearOne’s executive vice president of worldwide sales.
"We look forward to Dave's return as our VP of North American Telephony Sales," Sorrentino said in a release. "He brings a great deal of experience and energy with him as he focuses on the telephony market. In addition to his management responsibility of our North American telephony sales team, Petricig will also have responsibility for developing our North American telephony distribution channel. Petricig is a proven industry sales leader and I look forward to working with him again."
ClearOne made news earlier this week when it announced that Sony is now using ClearOne’s HDConference wideband audio technology with its HD video conferencing system, the PCS-XG80.
And last week the company introduced two new media carts which can be used for transforming an ordinary meeting room into a video conferencing center.
