Patton -- a provider of business and carrier-class network access, connectivity, Voice-over-IP and triple-play equipment – is reducing pricing on its lineup of FXS models of the SmartNode 4110 VoIP Gateway (News - Alert) Series in an effort to stimulate the analog VoIP gateway market.

 

The pricing is effective immediately. The lower prices reflect an average decrease of 20 percent to 40 percent for distributors, resellers and end-user customers, according to Burton Patton (News - Alert), executive vice president at Patton.

 

In spite of the current economic crisis, the lower pricing makes the stability and interoperability of Patton's high-end, carrier-class SmartNode VoIP equipment affordable for small to medium enterprises (SMEs).

 

The SmartNode VoIP line is the only two-call ISDN VoIP CPE on the market that runs carrier-grade software and is designed for deployment in ISDN small offices, branch offices and homes, the device supports two concurrent voice or T.38 fax calls, Super G3 and V.34 capable. SmartNode delivers VoIP technology that integrates seamlessly with existing analog POTS and digital ISDN infrastructures. It is interoperable with all major brands of softswitches and IP-PBXs makes it easy for carriers and enterprises to deploy future-proof VoIP systems quickly and profitably today, according to the company.

SmartNode products are up and running in numerous enterprise networks and carrier deployments worldwide, including one of Europe's earliest first-line VoIP services.

The  SmartNode FXS gateways providing 2, 4 or 8 analog FXS ports, the high-performance SmartNode 4110 series connects traditional analog POTS PBX (News - Alert) equipment and phones to the IP telephony network and the PSTN, are manufacture in the company’s United States headquarters.

 

In addition, Patton is currently developing a mid-density analog VoIP gateway product line for SMEs that provides 12 to 24 FXS ports. Patton expects to release the low-cost, high-performance SmartNode 4400 series during Q3 2009.
