ThinkTel Taps VegaStream for VoIP Gateway Deployment

Canadian-based ThinkTel Communications announced on Tuesday that it chose VoIP gateway manufacturer VegaStream to rollout VoIP services using its gateways. The partnership will ultimately enable ThinkTel to offer VoIP services to its business partners and customers.
 
"VegaStream is excited to partner with ThinkTel and to enable them to offer the latest in voice and data integration services to their clients,” said Donald Krause, Director of Service Provider Sales, North America, for VegaStream. “As a leading national provider of wholesale business and residential broadband voice services, ThinkTel’s customers rely on them to provide cost-effective, reliable services that are easy to adopt and offer competitive advantages. VegaStream is proud to be part of their networking solution.”
 
ThinkTel will deploy VegaStream's Vega 400 digital gateway and the Vega 50 suite of analog gateways. ThinkTel is a national wholesale provider of broadband voice communications for business and residential subscribers, with service in 33 local markets in Canada and 88 markets in the USA. The company offers a a suite of voice services including dial tone, long distance, calling cards and conferencing, all managed by ThinkTel's proprietary billing and provisioning systems.
 
"We chose to work with VegaStream because our customers demand reliable broadband voice solutions that leverage their investment in existing networks and phone systems. VegaStream's products integrate seamlessly with our national network and enable ThinkTel to delivery a full range of voice connectivity solutions, including broadband PRI and individual business lines," said David Damer, president and CEO for ThinkTel. "VegaStream's Vega family of products allow our customer to access all the benefits of VoIP without the worries or headaches that can come with less reliable, lower quality solutions."
 
VegaStream made news earlier this morning when it announced that Bedford, Mass.-based vCentrix tapped the company to introduce a suite of VegaStream VoIP gateways to their carrier partners. Vcentrix provides branded wholesale VoIP services to CLECs, MSOs and ISPs, including provisioning, billing and subscriber management systems.
 
The deal will enable vCentrix to deploy the entire VegaStream product line, including the Vega 400 digital gateway and the Vega 50 family of analog gateways. Headquartered in, vCentrix offers a world class VoIP services platform with an integrated and branded OSS toolset designed to serve their market channels. The vCentrix network is designed and built to provide the QoS and SLA standards expected by their carrier customers.
