Email Server Exclusive: Ipswitch Offers Additional Service with New Position

By Amy Tierney, TMCnet Web Editor

In an effort to better connect potential customers with the right product, Ipswitch, a Lexington, Mass.-based developer of business-class messaging applications, created a new position in its IMail Server division.

The company promoted Kevin Fox as its pre-sales technical engineer. Fox, pictured below, previously worked in the tech support department before his promotion.

In his new role, Fox helps customers find the right IMail Server product for their business needs. As part of the job, Fox assists companies by installing and implementing their free 30-day evaluation of IMail. He also offers any configuration support customers might require.

And if users want to buy IMail Server, Fox will help with any migration support from their existing mail server to IMail. The service is free, company officials said.

“Kevin is that real-live voice on the other end of the line that is going to walk you through the entire process, from determining which version of IMail is the best fit for your business to assisting with the installation of your free 30-day evaluation,” Renee Hewlett, Internet marketing specialist at Ipswitch - messaging division, wrote in a recent blog post.

Those in the market for a new email server know that it’s not a quick process. But with IMail Server and Fox’s expertise, the experience can be smooth and easy, Ipswitch (News - Alert) (News - Alert) officials said.

Ipswitch’s IMail Server products are particularly useful for small and medium-sized businesses. In a recent interview with TMCnet, Hewlett spoke about how SMBs are using inexpensive and scalable Ipswitch IMail Server products to “do more with less.”
