M-Files for Salesforce Customer Service Software Now Available to Deploy on AppExchange

By Shamila Janakiraman, TMCnet Contributor

M-Files developer Motive Systems announced that M-Files for salesforce CRM is available for deployment on AppExchange 2. Motive Systems developed M-Files a document management software and M-Files Cloud Vault a cloud-based document management service.

Company sources explained that M-Files for Salesforce CRM is a cloud-based, professional document management solution that is tightly integrated with Salesforce CRM. Built using Force.com, the enterprise cloud-computing platform runs in the cloud like Salesforce.

This eliminates the need to purchase or configure a server, a technical and expensive requirement in traditional document management solutions. M-Files for Salesforce CRM is available as an on-premise solution for companies that own huge volumes of documents that would make cloud storage cost-prohibitive. It also helps where security policies specify the storing of some documents behind the company firewall.

M-Files for Salesforce CRM enhances the productivity of sales and service teams using Salesforce CRM by organizing and managing customer-related documents such as proposals, contracts, presentations, sales collateral and e-mail correspondence, said Motive Systems officials.

It is easy to locate documents by tagging related records in Salesforce CRM, like leads, opportunities, accounts, contacts, or cases, directly from the Salesforce CRM user interface.

Any document or Salesforce record can be located directly with the Windows Explorer interface of M-Files right from the standard Save and Open commands in any Windows application. This does not require the launch of Salesforce CRM.

In a release Greg Milliken (News - Alert), president of Motive Systems said, “Documents are one of the key drivers in a customer relationship, for instance, an email, proposal or contract, can initiate or consummate the relationship, however, document management is usually an afterthought in CRM systems.”

“M-Files for Salesforce CRM makes documents an integral component of the CRM system, resulting in increased sales and service team productivity and maximizing the businesses’ investment in CRM. We call this document-driven CRM, and we’re making it affordable and accessible to all Salesforce CRM users,” Milliken added.

According to company sources the bi-directional connection between Salesforce CRM and M-Files and any application on the desktop enables replication in M-Files automatically as soon as any customer information is added to Salesforce CRM.

It can be tagged (or attached) to any document as a property of that document. Also customer records can be viewed directly in M-Files without having to launch the Salesforce CRM, enabling fast access to customer information, from within any application on the desktop.
