NetSuite CEO Zach Nelson (News - Alert) will deliver a keynote entitled “How the Cloud Transforms Business Management” during the CRM solution provider’s Business Cloud Seminar to be held Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney.

Nelson’s keynote will detail how cloud computing enables businesses to reduce costs and improve efficiency by performing key operations in the cloud. He will elaborate on how cloud computing gives unprecedented levels of real-time control and visibility over multi-subsidiary and multi-national operations, and simplifies multi-currency financial consolidation.

Nelson is an accomplished software industry leader. He became CEO of NetSuite (News - Alert) in 2002 after establishing executive credentials at some of the most influential and innovative technology companies of the past 25 years. With executive experience in sales, product development, marketing and strategy at Oracle, Sun Microsystems (News - Alert) and McAfee/ Network Associates, he had the skill and vision to take NetSuite from startup to NYSE-listed success story with over 6,600 customers.

Also during the event, Tim Sheedy, senior analyst at Forrester Research, will present a session entitled “Understanding the Benefits of Cloud Computing.” He will explain the competitive advantages of cloud computing, and where it fits in with an organization’s sourcing strategy. His presentation will be followed by a customer executive panel discussion on “How the Cloud Changes Everything.”

NetSuite made news last month when it introduced a suite of cloud-based CRM and ERP software solutions for Apple's iPhone (News - Alert) and iPod touch. The integrated suite of applications, which is now available on the iTunes App Store, provides NetSuite users who are also iPhone users with real-time dashboards that deliver key ERP, CRM and e-commerce operational data.
