NetSuite (News - Alert) has announced new capabilities for its flagship CRM product, NetSuite CRM+, now featuring AJAX-powered workflows and knowledge management functionality used in customer support and customer service.
Mini Peiris, vice president of product marketing at NetSuite, said his company has long been the gold standard for the use of AJAX in business applications, “pioneering rich, dynamic user interface capabilities in a browser application typically found only in desktop applications.”
Introduced in May 2005, NetSuite CRM+ is a feature-rich CRM offering that meets business needs at every phase of the customer lifecycle.
Company officials said that unlike competitors’ solution, NetSuite’s CRM solution gives growing businesses a “360-degree view” of all customer interactions, along with the ability to record sales transactions.
In addition, NetSuite CRM+ features order management, partner management, incentive management, and project tracking.
Officials pointed out that the newest version of NetSuite CRM+ is equipped with new features for marketing automation and streamlining of marketing management for customer service.
The Step-wise Assistants for Marketing Automation module, officials explained, is a new two-step assisted workflow for group creation, enabling marketers to segment and slice their target audience for “focused” campaign execution.
The Streamlined Knowledge Management for Customer Service module, a new keyword search workflow, has been built directly into the user interface for case management, which enables customer service and customer support to search and find relevant content from the knowledge store to respond to a particular customer service inquiry.
Moreover, officials said that customer service representatives can also add content for inclusion in the central knowledge store via a click from information already entered on the case for the response to the customer.
NetSuite also announced support for Firefox 3, the latest Web browser version from the Mozilla Foundation. With this latest announcement, NetSuite now supports all the three web browsers — Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari.
Company said the new CRM+ features are available now at no additional cost, and NetSuite CRM+ comes with a price tag (News - Alert) of $129 per user per month. Support for Firefox is expected to be available in August.
