In other NetSuite news recently, the CRM software vendor shared in the champagne celebration with BMW Oracle (News - Alert) Racing, Larry Ellison's organization which won the America's Cup sailing trophy, bringing it back to the United States for the first time in 15 years.
'For the third straight America's Cup competition season and the eighth year running, NetSuite is providing an integrated business solution to premier sailing team BMW Oracle Racing,' company officials said. NetSuite was the software used for BMW Oracle operations linking areas of activity in the U.S., Valencia, Spain and Auckland.
('Auckland?' Yep -- anymore you don't win the America's Cup without Kiwis on your team.)
Oh, and the trophy's named after the first yacht to win it, the America, not the country. Although yes, it'd be a safe guess that first boat wasn't British.
The 'complexities of Wireless Matrix's three distinct lines of business and the retention of several production systems required NetSuite to deliver highly tailored business processes in a short period of time,' company officials say.
Herndon, Virginia-based Wireless Matrix uses NetSuite OneWorld for ERP, sales automation, marketing, manufacturing, work orders and RMAs, inventory, and customer support.
