NetSuite CEO Zach Nelson, CFO Jim McGeever to Discuss Benefits of Cloud Computing
November 23, 2009

By Patrick Barnard, Group Managing Editor, TMCnet
Zach Nelson (News - Alert), CEO of cloud-based CRM software provider NetSuite, and company CFO Jim McGeever will be discussing the benefits of cloud computing for businesses during two separate investor conferences scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 1.

Nelson will be speaking during the Credit Suisse Annual Technology Conference will be held at 11:30 a.m., MT, at the Phoenician Hotel, Scottsdale, Ariz., while McGeever will be speaking during the FBR Annual Investor Conference scheduled for 3:50 p.m., ET, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, New York, NY.

Both men will discuss how cloud computing helps businesses reduce costs and improve efficiency, as well as how it can provide improved control and visibility over multi-subsidiary and multinational operations.

Both events will be recorded and archived on NetSuite’s (News - Alert) website.

NetSuite’s suite of applications covers enterprise resource planning/accounting, customer relationship management and e-commerce. The company’s patent-pending "real-time dashboard" technology delivers role-specific business information in real time to business managers.

NetSuite made news last week when e-commerce billing solutions provider Aria Systems announced that it had integrated its on-demand billing and subscription management solution with NetSuite’s core billing engine by way of NetSuite’s SuiteCloud developer platform.

The combined solution is targeted at companies that offer subscription-based products or services or which are thinking of adding them. Thus it will be of interest to businesses that bill based on usage, such as online data storage, ad space or pay-per-click.

The integrated solution offers easy-to-use subscription management capabilities for administrators as well as a seamless and intuitive experience for NetSuite users. The first phase of the integration, available now, automatically synchronizes customer information between NetSuite’s native billing engine and the Aria (News - Alert) Billing Platform.

NetSuite also made news last week when warehouse management solutions provider SmartTurn announced that it had integrated its cloud-based warehouse management system with NetSuite by way of the SuiteCloud.

That means distributors, e-commerce companies, B-to-B suppliers and manufacturers now have an integrated on-demand solution that manages core aspects of the order fulfillment process from procurement and put-away to sale and shipment.

SmartTurn claims its WMS helps wholesale distributors and e-commerce businesses to increase shipment and inventory accuracy while reducing inventory-related labor and carry costs.

By integrating SmartTurn’s WMS with NetSuite’s native inventory management system and other business applications, distributors can reign in costs and gain greater efficiencies across key inventory processes, including purchase order creation, inventory receiving, put-away, sales management, inventory picking, order fulfillment, kitting, inventory adjustments and cycle counts.
