Three top executives at Aspect Software, the world’s largest company solely focused on the contact center, received Lifetime Achievement Awards during an industry awards banquet hosted by Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) on May 4 in New York.
Jim Foy, chief executive officer, president and director; Gary Barnett, chief technology officer and executive vice president of technical services; and Ralph Breslauer, executive vice president of global sales and marketing, were recognized for their important contributions to the contact center and teleservices industries during the black-tie event, which served as a celebration of Customer Interaction Solutions magazine’s 25th anniversary.
The magazine, which is published by TMC, has educated the market on the art and science of managing a world-class customer-service environment for a quarter of a century.
“Customer Interaction Solutions has reported on this industry and witnessed and participated in its impressive evolution over 25 years,” said Nadji Tehrani, founder and chief executive officer of TMC, as he presented the awards. “We know who the major players are and sincerely feel that Jim, Gary and Ralph deserve this recognition for their remarkable achievements. They are leaders, innovators, ambassadors and pacesetters who continue to anticipate market direction and drive the development of innovative contact center technologies that help companies transform their customer-service initiatives into bottom-line results. We congratulate them wholeheartedly and look forward to seeing where they lead Aspect Software (News - Alert) and this industry next.”
Nadji Tehrani and his son, Rich Tehrani, TMC president, lauded Foy, Barnett and Breslauer for their integral roles in the development of the contact center technology and services industry.
Foy, who has more than three decades of experience in the contact center industry, led the $1 billion merger of Aspect Communications and Concerto Software in 2005 to create Aspect Software, the largest company in the world specializing in next-generation products and services for in-house and outsourced contact centers. His career includes positions as chief executive officer, president and director of Concerto Software and Davox Corporation; president of Informix Software; executive vice president of engineering at Ardent Software; founder, president and chief executive officer of Constellation Software; and director of research and development at Prime Computer.
Barnett, who has been a driving force in communications technology, most recently served as president and chief executive officer of Aspect Communications. An original founding engineer, he played a key role in the development of the company’s first automatic call distributor. He was also a founding engineer of Octel Communications, where he was one of the developers of the company’s first voice-messaging system, and a founder of Prospect Software, a company that pioneered computer-telephony integration.
Breslauer has led the global sales force of Aspect Software and heads up the strategic development and execution of the company’s aggressive product, branding and marketing efforts. Previously he was the executive vice president of sales and marketing for Concerto Software. Throughout his career in enterprise software, Breslauer has also served as senior vice president of worldwide field operations for eRoom Technology; vice president of marketing and business development for Informix Software’s TransAct Business Group; vice president of marketing for databases and tools at Ardent Software; and executive vice president at System Builder Corporation.
Aspect Software can boast its position as “the founder of the contact center industry.” It is the world’s largest company solely focused on providing proven, innovative contact center products and services that enable the key business processes of customer service, collections, and sales and telemarketing.
Each day, thousands of in-house and outsourced contact centers around the globe conduct more than 125 million customer interactions using Aspect Software products.
Headquartered in Westford, Mass., Aspect Software has operations across the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
