LiveOps Appoints Marty Beard as New President and CEO

LiveOps (News - Alert), a provider of cloud-based contact center solutions, announced the appointment of Marty Beard as President and Chief Executive Officer effective July 18, 2011.

Beard will also join the LiveOps Board of Directors, while Maynard Webb, who served as LiveOps Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, will continue in his role as Chairman of the Board.

Prior to joining LiveOps, Beard served as President at Sybase 365. While at Sybase, Beard created a subsidiary division called Sybase 365 (News - Alert), which generated 150 percent revenue growth in less than five years. Sybase 365's success has been viewed as a major reason for the SAP acquisition of Sybase in July, 2010.

Before he took up this role in Sybase, he served as vice president, Oracle (News - Alert) Online at Oracle Corp. He helped drive Oracle's e-business transformation, leveraging the Internet to improve customer engagement, including managing Oracle's online store for purchasing software and services.

LiveOps has found that Beard’s experience aligns with the current LiveOps priorities to grow the businesses and leverage operations. The most significant aspect is that Beard understands the cloud environment and the potential it provides to transform business models. He’s also well versed on the mobile messaging and mobile commerce segments.

“Marty has demonstrated his ability to identify untapped market opportunities and deliver solutions that dynamically enhance the customer experience - skills that are critical to ensure a successful future at LiveOps,” said Webb. “Marty not only has the operational and leadership abilities to take the company to the next level but he also brings a strategic view for the transformation that is underway in our industry.”

Beard has also served on the board of directors for CTIA-The Wireless Association, and will continue to serve as a board member for Harris Interactive (News - Alert), a global leader in custom market research and widely known for the Harris Poll.
