Vidyo Announces Participation in ng Connect Program

Vidyo, Inc, announced this week that it will be taking part in the ng Connect Program, a multi-industry organization committed to the development and rapid deployment of the next generation of broadband services based on Long Term Evolution and other ultra high bandwidth technologies.


The announcement came along with the news that Vidyo Technology will support LTE (News - Alert), 3G and 4G broadband networks and smartphones. Vidyo Technology delivers TV-quality, multiparty videoconference on smartphones.

“Vidyo is successfully delivering its revolutionary video conferencing platform over desktops, laptops, netbooks and HD room systems via the Internet or any general IP network,” said Ofer Shapiro (News - Alert), Vidyo’s co-founder and CEO. “Now we’re taking it one step further by extending our highly error resilient Vidyo architecture and offering the first TV-quality multipoint videoconferencing over LTE, 3G and 4G networks. We believe HD multipoint video conferencing over wireless will see huge demand and are committed to driving the development of next generation broadband services through organizations like ng Connect.'
