Zeacom Communications Center 5.1 Now Compatible with Avaya IP Telephony Solutions

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Zeacom, a global provider of Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC) and contact center solutions for the small- to medium-sized business (SMB) market, has announced that its Zeacom Communications Center (ZCC) 5.1 software is compliant with key Internet protocol (IP) telephony solutions from Avaya.

The Communication Manager 5.0, AES 4.2 and ZCC 5.1 are fully compatible with Avaya (News - Alert) IP Office 4.2 and are sourced from a single application to provide Rich Presence, Unified Messaging, Contact Center, Blended Out-dialing, IVR, Operator Console, Mobility, SIP-Based Audio Conferencing, and Microsoft (News - Alert) integration on one server using a single administration interface.

"Avaya is a very valuable business partner with whom we successfully work in target markets across the globe," said Miles Valentine, CEO, Zeacom (News - Alert), in a Tuesday statement.

"A ZCC solution running on an open standards-based Avaya platform empowers users with access to truly innovative communications functionality and by extension, a notable competitive advantage. Together, Zeacom and Avaya provide cost-effective solutions via a low total cost of ownership, which deliver tangible ROI."

Bryan Dancer, president for technology integrator and Zeacom channel partner, Allegiant Networks, contributed in the Tuesday statement, "Zeacom has the most amazing multi-media queuing system on the market today. Our Avaya IP Office and Communications Manager sales have increased significantly due to our ability to now lead with Zeacom's complete UC solution in the mid-market space."

Zeacom is also a Gold Member of Avaya’s DevConnect (News - Alert) program, one that is driven as an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company’s investment in its network.

As a Gold member of this program, Zeacom is able to submit products for compatibility testing through the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, New Jersey. Once compatibility is established, a whole new world of opportunities is made available to vendors part of the DevConnect program.

"By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like Zeacom who are members of our DevConnect program, Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities," said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya, in the Tuesday statement.

Zeacom is now in a strong position to drive its brand in collaboration with Avaya. The interoperability assures clients that they are able to leverage current assets while turning to innovative solutions to help streamline operations and maximize performance. In doing so, the client not only gains such benefits, Zeacom helps to better position its brand in the marketplace and promotes sustainable growth.
