Tyler Technologies to Provide Enterprise Resource Planning Solution to Odessa, Texas

Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) signed an agreement with the city of Odessa, Texas, for Tyler's Munis® enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. Included in the software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) agreement is financial, human resources, and revenue management, as well as productivity solutions like Tyler Content Manager, Munis eProcurement, and Munis Citizen Self Service.

The city of Odessa had been looking to transition to a SQL-based ERP system with up-to-date technology. An outside consulting company recommended Tyler after a thorough review of multiple vendors. Tyler's Munis solution demonstrated and surpassed all the functions the city required in an ERP system, which will allow the city's staff to better serve its constituents with increased efficiency.

"We feel that Tyler's Munis solution will bring our city a new age of technology, which will greatly improve our daily processes," said Phillip Urrutia, director of Purchasing & Fleet, city of Odessa. "Tyler has already been a helpful partner for us in examining our processes, and we'r looking forward to the implementation, where we can begin to see the benefits from this new ERP solution."

Not only will the Munis solution bring efficiencies to the city, but it will also reduce the number of disparate software solutions that are currently used. Odessa will be able to combine management of financial, human resources, and revenue into one system. Munis will enable the city to continue to provide its transparent services to the residents of Odessa.

"Providing Odessa with an integrated solution like Munis will allow them to work more efficiently and be more responsive to the needs of their community," said Chris Hepburn, president of Tyler's ERP & Schools Division. "We are pleased that Odessa has joined our growing number of clients in Texas and will benefit from a streamlined approach to financial, human resources, and revenue management."

The city of Odessa is in west Texas in Ector County, and has a population of nearly 120,000. Tyler currently provides its Munis solution to 57 local government entities in the state of Texas. Tyler also provides its Eagle solution to Ector County.
