GM Dealers Helped by DealerSocket in Responding to Internet Leads Quickly

Automotive CRM provider DealerSocket has announced that it has been approved by General Motors (News - Alert) (GM) for recertification as a Certified Lead Management Provider (CLMP). This important certification means that GM dealers will now be able to stick to GM's strict inbound lead response times and at the same time follow up on all Internet generated leads quickly and competently by using the DealerSocket CRM Solution.


In a release, Brad Perry, co-founder and chief technology officer of DealerSocket said, "General Motors knows the importance of quickly responding to customer inquiries and DealerSocket's CRM Solution helps GM dealers do just that. This recertification adds to the long list of automotive industry vendors who trust DealerSocket as a partner."

The U.S. dealerships of General Motors are required to use a Certified Lead Management Provider (CLMP) for receiving and responding to OEM-generated Internet leads. The recertification process included meeting more than 100 functionality requirements. 

Some of the highlights included are: Receiving email notification for all lead types, whereby ensuring that all leads are responded to in a timely and efficient manner. Secondly, integration with mobile email devices like Blackberry and other smart phones. Hence allowing complete 24 hour coverage for all GM leads which are supported by GM OneSource (News - Alert). 

Lead response is captured and stopped in real time, whereby ensuring timely and efficient customer response and dealer reporting. A separate lead distribution and work flow for each lead category. Dealers will be able to have a separate lead distribution/work flow for each lead category like Sales, Service, Parts, and Accessories, allowing the dealers in separating lead types to support different in-dealership processes. 

Having the capability to route the leads to multiple authorized users at the dealership and at the same time have the capability to receive GM promotional email templates.
