In response to a growing demand for more system and upgraded solutions, call center software provider, Five9 Inc., has appointed a leading industry veteran to join its staff – and improve sales and services.
Effective immediately, Dan Burkland, a 20 year call center software and voice applications veteran, will now serve as Five9’s Senior Vice President of Enterprise Sales and Business Development.
Chief Technology Officer of Five9, Jim Dvorkin, said that, with the
recent introduction of the industry’s first cloud computing platform for call centers, Burkland’s leadership will drive adoption of this innovative technology by enterprise customers.
Burkland’s 20 years of experience includes sales positions at GeoTel and Cisco Systems (News - Alert), as well as Transera and IP Unity.
“Dan’s proven track record with large enterprise clientele and his sales leadership will allow us to accelerate our momentum in the enterprise call center software market segment,” Dvorkin said.
At Five9, Burkland will focus on enterprise sales and business development opportunities in the United States and Canada initially, with the potential to expand as business continues to grow.
In fact, according to Burkland, the on-demand call center software market is poised to grow significantly at the expense of traditional premise-based solutions.
“I believe that Five9, with an incredibly strong product and the largest engineering team in the on-demand call center industry, is well positioned to capitalize on this market opportunity,” he added.
Additionally, Burkland’s previous professional ventures included a flawless track record of consistent sales and exponential revenue growth through direct and indirect sales channels.
“Enterprise customers are increasingly looking for cloud-computing solutions to deliver a complete end-to-end inbound and outbound suite of call center applications,” Burkland said. “I’m enthusiastic about joining Five9 and helping to accelerate the company’s success in this high-growth market segment.”
