Tips For a More Motivated Call Center Team
If management can keep employees motivated, productivity and the customer experience see a boost. That is why it is vital to have daily or weekly plans in place to ensure the team says motivated and ready to bring their “A” game. Here are some tips to keep teams ready and raring to go.
No one wants to work in an environment where they do not have the proper accommodations. It is essential to keep up with the latest software, hardware, updates, training, and positive reinforcement. Never leave your team stranded, feeling bad about themselves or without the necessary tools to succeed. This can quickly lead to frustration.
Practice what you preach. If you want your agents and/or team to be happy and positive, management must come in with that same attitude. Be genuinely excited to be at work, to assist, and to work as a team and this energy will definitely rub off.
One bad seed can ruin a bunch and the same goes for employees. Negative energy in the workplace can make it an undesirable place to work. Management must weed out the staff bringing the team down. Removing one or two bad eggs can drastically improve office morale.
Implementing a minor reward system can go a long way. Even if it’s gift cards, team breakfasts or lunches every now and again.
Another good tip for the long term is recognizing the team members looking to grow within the company, and offer these employees the required education and opportunities to find the success they seek.
Have pre-shift huddles to allow employees to express ideas and concerns. This can be the time where they share what gets them through even the most trying days. It is amazing what we can learn from one another.
Finally, start playing team games. Not only is it a great way for the staff to get to know one another even better, especially if they need to swap shifts, but it encourages teamwork. Working together is key in any environment and liking your co-workers makes coming to work a tad more enjoyable.
