Zyxel Networks Launches Affordable Wi-Fi 7 Access Point for SMBs

May 31, 2024

Zyxel Networks, a provider of AI- and cloud-powered networking solutions, announced the NWA130BE BE11000 Wi-Fi 7 Triple-Radio NebulaFlex Access Point. Aimed at making Wi-Fi 7 technology accessible for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), this new addition to Zyxel’s Wi-Fi 7 portfolio offers many advanced features at a more affordable price point, catering specifically to businesses that need a 2x2 access point.

The NWA130BE is designed to facilitate easy and swift upgrades to Wi-Fi 7, providing the fast speeds, low latency, and high reliability. It leverages a tri-band BE11000 architecture and is powered by a Qualcomm quad-core CPU. The access point also supports 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz frequency bands and provides extra-wide 320MHz channels, doubling the bandwidth capacity of Wi-Fi 6 and achieving speeds up to 11Gbps. With a 4K QAM and Multi-Link Operation (MLO) it also enhances peak data rates by up to 20% while reducing latency.

Additional benefits of the new offering include Multiple Link Operation (MLO) which allows simultaneous data transmission across different frequency bands, boost in throughput, reduced latency, and improved reliability. Its advanced RF-first design also eliminates interference between 5GHz and 6GHz bands and ensures seamless coexistence with cellular networks.

The access point also supports versatile deployment and management through NebulaFlex, allowing for standalone or cloud-managed modes, and features dual 2.5G Ethernet ports for easy integration with multi-gigabit switches. Additionally, it supports standard 802.3at PoE, reducing the need for PoE switch upgrades. AI-powered Wi-Fi management and integrated security features, including Connect & Protect Plus (CNP+), automatically diagnose and resolve network issues while securing the wireless edge and enabling direct implementation of security policies.

“As Wi-Fi 7-supported devices begin to enter the mainstream market this year, SMBs will need to look seriously at upgrading the existing network infrastructures to take advantage of the faster speeds, enhanced reliability, and increased capacity that Wi-Fi 7 technology offers,” said Shawn Rogers, Market Development Manager at Zyxel Networks. “The ease of deployment and versatility of managing NWA130BE as a standalone or cloud-managed device makes it the ideal solution for adding Wi-Fi 7 capabilities to an existing network.”
