Lenovo and Jabra Intro ThinkSmart Bar 180

In a bid to redefine collaboration in small and medium-sized meeting spaces, Lenovo has launched the ThinkSmart Bar 180. Leveraging AI-enabled video and audio streams, this promises a more seamless, inclusive and premium meeting experience. It also introduces a co-branded collaboration solution that was developed in partnership with Jabra and designed to offer advanced features that cater to the evolving needs of modern businesses.

At the core of this collaboration tool is the integration of the Lenovo ThinkSmart Core and Controller, providing users with a comprehensive, intelligent room system. The combination of hardware and software aims to streamline the meeting process, fostering productivity and engagement.

One of the key highlights of the ThinkSmart Bar 180 is its AI-enabled capabilities, which enhance both video and audio streams. (Thus, resulting in a more effective communication platform that caters to the demands of today’s hybrid work environment.)

Now with the integration of Windows Autopilot and Lenovo Services, IT teams can reduce manual configurations and make deployments more efficient and hassle-free.

In addition to a compact, easily manageable form factor, the device has a three-camera system for a 180-degree field of view and panoramic 4K resolution through seamless real-time video stitching. It also has three configurable video modes — Intelligent Zoom, Virtual Director, and Dynamic Composition. Intelligent Zoom optimizes the view by framing all individuals within the 180-degree field of view, dynamically adjusting as people enter, leave, or move within the room. Virtual Director focuses on the active speaker, adapting the focus as the conversation flows naturally, while Dynamic Composition provides context by automatically detecting and prioritizing recent speakers, enhancing both auditory and visual understanding.

The included microphones can also identify the voices of up to ten meeting participants and a dual-stream whiteboard streamlines collaboration.

The ThinkSmart Bar 180 is certified for both Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms and is available as a standalone device, offering a smart and flexible bring-your-own-meeting (BYOM) solution.
