Many company leaders and employees have more than likely attended a company meeting and first-hand experienced some of the challenges that come with bridging the gap between on-site, remote and flexible workers.

Companies need to invest in high-quality audio and video conferencing tools, dependable internet connections and suitable hardware to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between team members in different locations. Organizations also need to establish clear communication channels, encourage active participation from remote workers, and provide opportunities for informal interactions to foster team cohesion. Additionally, scheduling and time zone differences pose a challenge.

The list can go on. So, to address these challenges, organizations need to find solutions. These solutions should help them bridge the gap between on-site, remote and flexible workers in meetings and enable productive and inclusive interactions among team members.

Enter Poly, an HP company, and its new pro-grade audio and video solutions with AI-driven software to bring meetings to life.

To help attendees be seen in mid-sized meeting spaces, Poly introduced the Poly Studio X52 video bar. The video bar incorporates the Poly DirectorAI smart camera technology, offering automated camera framing modes such as group, speaker, and people framing.

With a 4K, 20MP camera, it ensures clear visibility of all participants, even in the far corners of the conference room, without image distortion. The device is certified for Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom, with pending certification for BlueJeans by Verizon, GoTo and RingCentral.

The Poly Studio X52 is expected to be available worldwide in late summer for a starting price of $4,300.

Poly also updated its Poly Video OS to version 4.1, providing a unified experience across all Poly video conferencing devices:

  • The Poly DirectorAI Perimeter technology offers precise participant framing in meeting rooms with glass walls. It eliminates capturing faces beyond glass walls or windows by allowing IT administrators to input room dimensions and enhances audio clarity by minimizing reverberations and echoes caused by glass and hard surfaces in meeting spaces.

  • Increased flexibility in meeting spaces through the connectivity of the Poly Studio E70 smart camera directly to the Poly G7500 modular video conferencing system using a standard ethernet cable.

  • The Poly TC10 touch control panel is enhanced to support meeting control for Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android. It also functions as a room scheduling panel.

For those wondering about larger-room meeting spaces, Poly made certain to get the Poly G7500 Modular Video Conferencing System and the Shure Microflex Large Room Bundles certified for Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android to deliver a seamless multi-vendor solution for large meeting spaces.

The Poly Studio E70 and HP Mini Conferencing PC also received certification, with Zoom. The combination of dual camera sensors and 12th generation Intel Core i7 processor enable Zoom Room features, including a Zoom-verified Intelligent Director experience, to deliver more equitable meetings for in-person and remote participants.

The Poly Video OS 4.1 is expected to be available worldwide across the Poly Studio X Series of video bars and the Poly G7500 modular video conferencing systems in late summer. The Poly Studio E70 featuring Zoom’s Intelligent Director on Windows is expected to be available worldwide in October.

Well, that covers the video enhancements. However, video is only a part of what makes a meeting productive and interactive. Attendees need to be heard.

Poly has that covered, too.

The new Bluetooth Poly Voyager Surround 80, a boomless headset certified for Microsoft Teams Open Office, offers a sleek design for complete comfort, featuring soft ear cushions and an adjustable headband for an ultralight fit. With this headset, users can stay in command with up to 21 hours of talk time, convenient on-ear controls and smart sensors for automatic call answering.

The Poly Voyager Surround 80 is expected to be available worldwide in August for a starting price of $449.95.

As companies strive to enhance the in-office experience and adapt workspaces to evolving utilization trends, Poly devices need to be remotely monitored and managed. Poly made that possible with the Poly Lens remote device management. On top of that, Poly expanded its API integration partners to include Ubiquisense and Vyopta, offering valuable insights for customers leveraging Poly Lens, available now, on the Poly Studio X30 and Studio X50 video bars.

“HP is committed to delivering solutions that eliminate the barriers inside and outside the room so you can look and sound your best,” said Andy Rhodes, Division President of Hybrid Systems, HP. “We are offering the next generation of audio and video technology, enhanced with innovative AI capabilities that help bring the meeting to life so everyone can be seen and heard with total clarity.”
