Communications and collaboration giant Avaya has a new reseller in the UK. The company has chosen wholesale service provider Wavenet as a Tier 1 Value-Added Reseller of Avaya OneCloud across the UK. The 22-year-old Wavenet is a managed service provider with long-standing partnerships with some of the top technology providers in the world.

Demand for cloud solutions has soared in recent years in the UK, France and Germany. Forrester Research has estimated that 92 percent of companies in these regions have adopted cloud computing in an effort to access new applications and affordable compute and storage for existing applications

Avaya’s partnership with Wavenet is expected to address this demand with a combined, private-cloud unified-communications-as-a-service (UCaaS) and contact center-as-a-service (CCaaS) offering with bundled calls and minutes that enables UK-based organizations to deliver more best-in-class experiences for customers and employees at every touchpoint.

“Our partners are serving customers in a business environment that has changed significantly over the past couple of years, and against that backdrop, it’s no surprise that demand for cloud-based communications experience technology has increased,” said Antony Black, Director of Wholesale for Wavenet. “By offering the combination of the Avaya market leading UCaaS and CCaaS experience technology with Wavenet’s bundled voice plans, we are able to provide the Wholesale Partners with a fully self-service managed platform allowing them to control their customers and more importantly bill directly.”

The combined offer will be available to Wavenet customers and their network of wholesale channel partners across the UK and can be rolled out for customers within a number of hours. Wavenet noted that customizations for more complex infrastructures can be made quickly and easily, adding to the solution’s value proposition.

Fadi Moubarak, VP of Channels for Avaya International, noted that the partnership will benefit both companies and their mutual customers.

“Our agreement with Wavenet will enable our joint partners to position an enterprise-class solution without the enterprise-class pricing,” he said. “Being natively cloud-based, the platform will keep customers at the cutting edge in terms of feature sets, and can be flexibly tailored and deployed in diverse ways to match the requirements of any business.”
