Barclays Delivers on Collaboration with Microsoft Teams

Collaboration tools are a must-have for today’s businesses.  Without them, they lack the ability to effectively engage internally or externally and get work done efficiently.  That’s more true that ever in today’s remote/hybrid work world. 

Barclays Bank PLC wanted to better connect its employees across its business units and functions. Naturally, the bank sought a way to provide its employees with a comprehensive collaboration platform to enable teams to interact and work together in a dynamic, modern way.

Barclays and Microsoft announced Barclays deployed Microsoft Teams as its preferred collaboration platform. The collaboration helped with the cooperation of more than 120,000 colleagues and service partners in key locations around the globe.

Barclays is streamlining its existing communications and collaboration solutions with Teams, replacing several point solutions previously used across the company.

Using Teams will provide Barclays various benefits when it comes to collaboration:

• With the chat window, users can call or video call, schedule a meeting and/or attach a file without leaving the chat.
• With meetings, preparation is easy as participants can chat and share files beforehand. After the meeting, the call is available for those who missed the meeting.
• Users do not have to switch apps when collaborating on a document, spreadsheet or PowerPoint project. This is because of the integration with Office 365.
