The world is going virtual, and with it are phone systems for business communications. Softphones allow businesses to make phone calls over an internet connection without the physical phone as it can be installed on desktops and mobile devices.

Telinta, offering cloud-based softswitch solutions for UCaaS and VoIP service providers, unveiled its new white label desktop softphone solution, which will enable VoIP service providers, ITSPs and UCaaS providers to offer inbound and outbound VoIP calling through an easy-to-use application for Windows and Mac desktop and laptop computers.

The solution is part of Telinta’s portfolio enabling service providers to offer hybrid and remote work solutions and unified communications.

“Our new Desktop Softphone is a powerful tool that service providers and their resellers can use to win new customers and grow their VoIP business,” said Alex Ferdman, CEO of Telinta. “Since 2002, our developers have created highly-flexible VoIP solutions with the unique needs of service providers in mind.”

Features of the softphone include a flexible remote work solution, inbound and outbound calls, call history, free on-net calls, address book/contact list, messaging, multiple languages available, adaptive echo canceller, NAT support, automatic adjustable jitter buffer and simple setup using only phone number and password. VoIP service providers can also offer optional features to their users such as voicemail, call forwarding and multiple DIDs.

The softphone can be offered by Telinta customers as a stand-alone service or integrated with Hosted PBX, SIP Trunking and Telinta’s Virtual Office solution services.

When offered with Telinta’s other softphone solutions, Telinta customers can provide VoIP calling through Android and Apple iOS, Windows and Mac desktop and laptop computers and web-based calling with a brandable multi-language portal via the user’s WebRTC-compatible browser.

Telinta’s real-time billing will allow customers to offer services on a prepaid or a postpaid basis and includes an option to recharge a prepaid balance online via credit card or Telinta’s PayPal plug-in.
