Clarus Communications and Connectivity Source to Merge; Expand Geographic Reach

Clarus Communications, a St. Louis-headquartered national provider of VoIP services and solutions, recently announced plans to merge with merger North Carolina-based master agent Connectivity Source. As a result of the merger, Connectivity Source will become part of Clarus Communications and assume that name going forward. The companies noted that the combination of their two businesses will expand the geographic reach of both.


“We are always looking for ways to expand our reach for our agents and to help them grow their businesses,” said Connectivity Source co-founder Scott Langdon. “Being part of Clarus not only will we have more of a presence to the West, but we will also strengthen our relationships with current providers and establish relationships with new providers for our agents.”

Connectivity Source is a full-service master telecommunications agency representing every major telecommunications carrier nationwide. Founded in 2001, the company has become recognized as one of the top master agencies in the country, with multi-million dollars of annual revenue and hundreds of agents. Also founded in 2001, Clarus Communications specializes in assisting customers and agents with telecommunications services, phone systems, IT services, cloud, and energy services, as well as internal sales and engineering support and the knowledge and expertise of today’s technology.

Chris Torbit, principal of Clarus, noted that the company has always prided itself on its agent program in that it provides its agents with all the support they need to be successful. The merger, he noted, will expand on this goal.

“This was a natural partnership and bringing their team to work together with the Clarus team, we look forward to everyone’s continued success,” said Torbit.

With the expanded geographical reach and a larger combined team, the merged entity will be in a position to help more prospective agents, as well as give current agents more opportunities to help their clients reach their goals.
