Communication is key element of success in every industry, but is exceptionally important for collaboration in network engineering projects. With so many businesses and individual consumers relying on cloud technology and services, having delays in service can be devastating for productivity and daily activities. Because of the world's increasing dependence on the cloud, the engineering experts behind the curtain need thorough processes for keeping relevant parties connected in the event of a serious problem.

SRE platform provider Blameless recently announced the launch of a new offering designed for engineers, enabling them to easily connect with team members and stakeholders regarding services impacted by incidents or outages. Called CommsFlow(™), this new product allows engineering teams to streamline and automate communication processes through multiple channels, keeping everyone informed while allowing engineers to focus on the task at hand.

“Managing incidents requires focused energy from your team. If we can alleviate that burden with features that automatically communicate at the right moments, it’s a game changer for on-call teams,” said Lyon Wong, Co-Founder and CEO, Blameless. “I’m impressed with early feedback from this powerful feature and grateful that its beginnings came from our own customers who rely on Blameless daily to stay reliable, with resilience.”

CommsFlow can be integrated into widely used incident/communications platforms including Microsoft Teams, StatusPage, PagerDuty and Slack. Users can send important status or progress updates through email and SMS, guaranteeing everyone is in the loop regardless of what device they’re using.

“Engineers are under pressure to ship releases at a fast pace, yet they also need to focus on accessibility, performance and scale,” added Paul Nashawaty, Senior Analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group “This new CommsFlow helps teams better communicate at the right time with the right context. This equips on-call teams with the tools they need so they can focus on the important task of staying available and performant.”
