Telkom Business Launches PABX Cloud in South Africa

South African wireless telecommunications provider Telkom Business recently announced the launch of a new PABX(Private Automated Branch Exchange) cloud service offering for enterprise customers across the country.

This new offering from Telkom was developed with the support of global networking and telecom leader, Ericsson, with the PABX solution utilizing the Ericsson-LG Enterprise’ iPECS Cloud platform for support. This cloud-based phone system enables large organizations to reap the standard benefits of traditional, legacy infrastructure, while simultaneously reducing costs and raising voice service quality.

“The natural evolution of technology from on-site systems to more cloud-based platforms led Telkom Business to continue the journey of expanding their solution offering to include iPECS Cloud to its suite of services. We have enjoyed a great product from Ericsson-LG and service from our existing suppliers ATA for many years through our premise-based PABX range and it was only natural that we progress into the cloud range.``
