8x8 Introduces Cloud Phone/Contact Center Solutions to Mainland China

Cloud communications provider 8x8 revealed the company’s unified communications and cloud contact center solutions have made way to enterprise markets in mainland China.


8x8’s Global Reach division has partnered with China Mobile International to offer large-scale business operations high quality solutions options for cloud phone support and promoting customer engagement. The partnership will allow 8x8’s solutions to be delivered through China’s data center, which hopes to drastically reduce deployment complexity needed for users to connect to the country's Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).

“Multinational companies have traditionally relied upon the combination of costly local-hosted gateways and VPNs to allow China-based offices and employees to communicate inside and outside of China.” commented China Mobile International officials. “These solutions caused reliability, security, quality and cost concerns, especially for in-country calling over China’s public telephone network. Our partnership enables 8x8 to offer these organizations a differentiated, fully compliant and high-quality service in China for all of their domestic and international business communications.”

As a result of this new introduction, Chinese enterprises will now be able to take advantage of full PSTN replacement services and global calling plans in 43 countries with unlimited global calling plans to up to 47 countries. Businesses will also be able to improve call quality and reliability, and leverage AI powered support systems for routing calls.
