Patton's VoIP Services Pass Interoperability Testing with New SIP Offerings from Deutsche Telekom

US-based telecom manufacturer Patton Electronics has announced the successful completion of interoperability testing between its SmartNode VoIP gateway and eSBC products with a new line of SIP offerings from Deutsche Telekom.

The announcement expands on Patton’s commitment to continue growing its expansive library of interop certifications.

The interoperability testing with Deutsche Telekom’s new CompanyFlex and DeutschlandLAN SIP-Trunk services means customers and partners have all of the network functions they need to support their business communications needs and can confidently “integrate cloud-optimized SmartNode VoIP gateways and eSBCs into their own communication solutions with utmost confidence,” commented Michael Schwidder, Director Channel Sales Europe at Patton.

For the testing, Deutsche Telekom used its 3rd party lab to verify that Patton’s Trinity-based SmartNode products worked with both its CompanyFlex (1TR119) offering - which uses an IP connection for dialing numbers and replaces an existing ISDN connection - and its new DeutschlandLAN SIP Trunk (1TR118). This enables the existing ISDN infrastructure to be upgraded to use the IP functionalities.

“The German market offers enormous potential in terms of digitization and, in particular, migration to IP. The successfully completed testing of Patton products for verified interoperability means Patton can now offer new opportunities to our partners and customers,” said Schwidder.

Patton was recently awarded the 2020 Product of the Year Award from INTERNET TELEPHONY Magazine for its Virtual SmartNode (vSN) virtualized network function (VNF) solution, a virtual customer premise platform with limitless scalability.
