Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, RingCentral Release Cloud Communications Rainbow

While we often hear the phrase, “too many cooks in the kitchen” as a negative, but two heads are certainly better than one. Cloud communications is a highly competitive and quite crowded space, with only best in breed technology finding the spotlight, and propelling the enterprise.

Today, Alcatel Lucent Enterprise and RingCentral announced a strategic partnership to offer the co-branded cloud solution, Rainbow Office powered by RingCentral. The Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise exclusive solution sets up to be the first of many, as the duo will develop programs to expand enterprise market presence and maintain tip of spear position in business communications.

It will bring significant opportunities for our well-established business partner ecosystem and strong values for our customers.”

In terms of financials, each organization will invest in marketing and sales of Rainbow Office powered by RingCentral, and RingCentral will pay Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise $100 million in cash for a minimum seat requirement, exclusive access and future commissions.

Rainbow Office powered by RingCentral will be available Q1 2021.
