Recent Communications Spreading Holiday Cheer with VoIP Services

The holiday season is a time when most are thinking of ways to express gratitude and give back to others. What better way to do so than to dedicate your businesses services to a non-profit cause.

Recent Communications is back this year with their festive holiday offering and have made it even better by partnering with Simon’s Heart — a local nonprofit.

Their holiday hotline offers an opportunity to showcase their offerings but also allow caller to phone in until Dec. 31 and leave a voice message for popular holiday characters including Frosty, Buddy the Elf, Rudolf and Santa himself.

Hold-Time Advantage, a strategic partner of Recent Communications donated their time and talent to provide the recordings in these character voices.
 

After dialing in, callers reach an auto attendant and pre-recorded message about the non-profit cause. They are then asked to choose which character they’d like to leave a voicemail for. Each one ask different questions of the callers and they can record their reply after the beep. A voicemail file is then sent to the email inbox at Recent Communications using it’s cloud based phone system.

This year, the Pennsylvania-based company is also donating $5 for every voice message left to Simon’s Heart which raises awareness for conditions that lead to sudden cardiac arrest and death in children.

“We are now using this platform as an opportunity to help a local, lifesaving nonprofit organization and one of our customers, Simon’s Heart,” said Charlotte Conroy, managing partner, director of marketing and business development for Recent Communications. “We are talking less about what we do as a company and talking about giving back.”

Specifically, the company said it will donate for up to 100 phone calls. Last year the hotline received 25 calls, but has already reached 10 calls in just the first week it opened this year.
