Momentum Telecom on a Roll with DCT Acquisition

Momentum Telecom is living up to its name with the announcement it will acquire DCT Telecom Group in a move that will expand its reach and customer base. The cloud-based communications provider has entered into an agreement to acquire the Cleveland-based telecom group, which specializes in providing cloud voice and network solutions.

The acquisition will grow the scale and geographical reach of Momentum’s cloud voice customer base as well as increase its growing list of enterprise clients. The combined company will offer managed broadband, internet and cloud voice capabilities, cementing Momentum’s position and growth in the business VoIP and cloud communications space.

Momentum has certainly been building on its name since the company’s inception in 2001. By 2005, Momentum was offering wholesale cloud voice solutions and telephone systems geared toward business customers, and merged with Integrated Broadband Services in 2014. In 2015 the company expanded its UC and VoIP offerings as well as its network by merging with UC provider Alteva. 2018 was also a big growth year for Momentum, with the company merging with CloudNet Group to expand its network offerings and technology. Last year also marked the company’s third time on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing privately held companies, after Momentum saw a whopping 120-percent growth trajectory.
