Cloud communications continue to charge onto the scene, with a market on the rise and undeniable benefits the impacts of this transformational technology are quite real. The time is now for service providers to put operations in order to take advantage of this sprawling market.

Mitel unveiled a number of new appointments focused on accelerating UCaaS adoption. The cloud communications provider named Rick Boyd Vice President of Cloud Sales, Muni Madhdhipatla Vice President of Cloud Research and Development and Gurdip Jande Vice President of Cloud Product Lifecycle Management.

The three appointees bring with them more than 60 years experience and a track record of success, and are tasked with forwarding the only cloud communications provider to be named in three of Gartner’s Magic Quadrants (UCaaS, UC and Contact Center).  Mitel already enables almost five million cloud communication users around the world daily – with one million of those being UCaaS users.

“Digital transformation is quickly separating the winners and losers. To compete today and stay ahead tomorrow, many companies are looking to cloud-based communications and collaboration. Mitel recognizes every organization has unique needs, so we offer more options for transitioning to the cloud,” said Bob Agnes, EVP and President, Mitel Products and Solutions. “In their new roles, Gurdip, Muni and Rick will advance our UCaaS product management, development of new solutions and market delivery, providing our customers with more choices for moving forward.”

Like many in the market, Mitel is positioning for a serious push in the space and support the journey toward ubiquity. Are your communications in the cloud, yet?
