AT&T Reprises RingCentral-Powered Office@Hand Offering

September 11, 2018

AT&T has reunited with RingCentral to deliver the AT&T Office@Hand Platform. It’s available now in the U.S. and will be expanded to Canada, Europe, and Mexico in the future.

The carrier had partnered with RingCentral years ago to deliver Office@Hand. But after a successful seven-year run, AT&T opted to go with its internal-only solution.

However, rapidly changing market dynamics and technological advances, and in support of giving customers greater choice, AT&T has re-engaged with RingCentral, a spokeswoman from RingCentral explained to me earlier today. Another RingCentral spokeswoman called later to add that there will be related news coming out tomorrow (Wednesday) morning, but declined to provide details.

"Businesses of any size need connectivity and voice to improve their ability to compete," said AT&T Business Chief Marketing Officer Mo Katibeh. "Working with RingCentral means we can deliver cloud communications and collaboration solutions to even more businesses to help their workforces be more productive, no matter where they are."

AT&T Office@Hand Platform combines fax, text messaging, voice communication in one phone number. The Office@Hand offering is based on the global RingCentral Office platform.

“Through AT&T Office@Hand, we’re connecting more businesses with RingCentral’s innovative cloud communications and collaboration solutions, empowering them to communicate more effectively internally and externally,” said Vlad Shmunis, founder, chairman, and CEO of RingCentral. “Now, AT&T’s business customers will have broad access to RingCentral’s industry leading technology for greater business outcomes.”

In May research firm IHS Markit named RingCentral the leading provider in the unified communications as a service category. Synergy Research recognized RingCentral as the No. 1 cloud communications provider worldwide in terms of both revenue and subscriber seats. And at this time last year Gartner put RingCentral high in the Leaders box of its UCaaS Magic Quadrant.
