BT selected AudioCodes Mediant session border controllers (SBCs) for its network. AudioCodes enables enterprises and service providers to migrate to all-IP voice networks, and will provide on-site deployment for existing communications platforms to easily and quickly connect to the BT network.

"We are proud that our SBCs have been selected for BT's SIP trunking service. Our Mediant family of SBCs has been designed to deliver seamless and reliable SIP trunk connectivity. In conjunction with their easy deployment and support for voice quality monitoring, the flexibility and scalability of our SBCs makes them ideal for hosted service provider implementations," said Lior Aldema, AudioCodes' COO and Head of Global Sales.

AudioCodes Mediant SBCs offers on-site deployment for existing communications platforms for an easy and quick connection to the BT network. Hybrid TDM/IP SBCs allows for seamless integration with almost any legacy TDM (BRI or PRI) or IP-based telephony systems and fully certified AudioCodes SBCs for BT's BroadSoft BroadWorks powered infrastructure. A built-in voice quality monitor assists administrators in quickly locating and fixing possible service disruptions.

“AudioCodes' SBCs provide a crucial link between customers' existing platforms and our network, helping them transition to the new environment as smoothly as possible," added Mayuresh Thavapalan, BT's Director Volume Products.

AudioCodes meshing of its advanced VoIP technology with BT’s UK business customers will provide scalable, cost-effective, and reliable voice communications.
