Converge Distribution Joins Kandy Reseller Ecosystem

Converge Distribution Ltd. has joined GENBAND’s Kandy Business Solutions reseller ecosystem, known as Nuvia, the companies announced this week at the Perspectives17 event. As a result, it will be offering cloud-based unified communications services and leveraging Kandy Communicator.

"We're focused on supporting local resellers that supply managed services models, and we turned to GENBAND once again to ensure that we're providing them the best offer on the market," said Ali Ebrahim, Director of Sales & Technology at Converge Distribution Ltd. "Nuvia offers the business-critical capabilities enterprises crave, coupled with a simple and effective cloud delivery mechanism, while Kandy Communicator offers consumer app-like ease of use."

Kandy Communicator is a mobile interface through which platform as a service and unified communications as a service can be accessed. And it offers location-based functionality that small businesses can use to track the location of their employees if those workers enable that capability.

Meanwhile, the cloud-based UC services will offer end users a more affordable and upgradable alternative to their on-premises PBXs. Kandy Wrappers are pre-packaged lightweight software applications that enable organizations to quickly and easily embed communications within their workflows.

The Kandy Business Solutions infrastructure promises 99.999 percent up-time. GENBAND is able to make this claim because all of the elements are redundant and all of the infrastructure is deployed in geographically redundant data centers.

GENBAND introduced Kandy back in 2014 in an effort to help businesses and service providers better address the connected consumer and the rise of over-the-top applications. As the company explained at the time, the value of KANDY is that it enables businesses to connect with their customers in the places they choose to be and work, and it allows them expedite the introduction real-time communications features in the interfaces of their choice by providing an array of network resources in easy-to-use building blocks. And it allows telecommunications service providers to insert themselves into the OTT application value chain.
