As business VoIP continues to increase in popularity, it stands to reason that competition between providers is going to become tough. To stand out from among the crowd, some business VoIP providers create new solutions or upgrade their features, while others choose to expand their presence to an international scale. Based on recent events, it looks like Ooma is going for the latter approach.

Ooma is a business VoIP provider that creates new communications experiences for small businesses and consumers. Its smart platform, Ooma Office, works as a communications hub, which offers cloud-based telephony and other connected services. Its solution brings PureVoice HD call quality together with innovative features and mobile applications for anytime, anywhere calling.

Thanks to its solution, Ooma Office is already sought after in the U.S. That’s why the company has chosen to go the international route to make itself even more well-known. Earlier this year, it announced it is going to be providing Ooma Office services to WeWork locations in the U.S. and Canada. WeWork is an American company which provides shared workspace, community and services for entrepreneurs, freelancers, startups and small businesses.

Today, Ooma announced that it is expanding its reach even further by bringing Ooma Office to WeWork locations in France. French users will be able to use the solution to run their businesses with enterprise-grade phone features including virtual receptionist, extension dialing, conference calling and music-on-hold.

With this expansion of Ooma Office, users in U.S., French and Canadian WeWork locations will have access to an IP phone, free activation, free number porting, a toll-free phone number, virtual fax and conference calling capabilities. Additionally, customers will be able to use Ooma’s companion mobile app for iOS and Android to stay connected while away from the WeWork office.

These international expansions are Ooma’s first steps toward growing its brand. “We are thrilled to expand Ooma Office business phone service to Europe, providing entrepreneurs and small business with an affordable, enterprise-class communications service to help them run their businesses,” said Eric Stang, CEO of Ooma. “The expansion marks the first entry into France by Ooma, and serves as a testament to our innovative vision and strategy for growth worldwide.”
