The telecommunications industry relies heavily on the interoperability of the products and services they offer, but there are always issues of compatibility. Avoiding these issues goes a long way in ensuring they will see higher adoption rates among service providers, software vendors and manufacturers. To make sure its solutions get into the hands of more customers, Grandstream Networks, has entered into a partnership with tekVizion, provider of third-party testing and integration services, for interoperability of its SIP products.

Since 2002, Grandstream Networks has been delivering SIP unified communications (UC) hardware and services for the small and medium business and enterprise markets. Although the company’s open standard SIP-based products already offer broad interoperability throughout the industry, this new partnership will give it more access.

The independent verification testing from the labs at tekVizion will give service providers and software vendors credible and reliable certification of their product and services. The product-agnostic and third-party independent test lab tekVizion delivers is the first interoperability certification lab of its kind, according to the company.

It offers a full suite of testing services, including interoperability, solution, conformance, product assessments and outsourced testing with real-world, multi-vendor integration, test experience and proven processes. This gives vendors integrated, deployment-ready UC solutions.

The company tests more than 400 products and applications annually for equipment providers, software vendors and telephony service providers. When it finally approves a product, it is deemed ready to enter the market place with the interoperability and qualification it has been certified for.

“It is imperative to us that the products and solutions we bring to the market are easily deployed and compatible with third party service providers and software vendors. Our partnership with tekVizion will allow our partners, integrators and resellers to be fully confident when deploying our solutions,” said David Li, CEO of Grandstream.

As a designer and manufacturer of a full line of SIP communications products and solutions, including IP phones, video conferencing solutions, IP PBXs, VoIP gateways, analog telephone adapters (ATAs), IP video phones, IP video surveillance solutions and more, Grandstream was looking to further ensure its products can be used by anyone.

Grandstream Networks’ SIP UC products and solutions have been designed to introduce communications options that are indispensable for businesses so they can be more productive. Whether it is small and medium businesses or enterprises, the technology the company deploys is able to meet the demand of each segment while lowering communication costs, increasing security protection and enhancing productivity. The new partnership with tekVizion will give it the certification customers are looking for when they deploy their communications solutions.
