Mitel and VoIP Supply Announce Expansion of Partnership

The VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phone system gives businesses access to enterprise class features at affordable rates. Being able to access these features presents a professional image of your company, whether your business is being run from your home office or elsewhere. This requires finding the right service provider, and with so many options in the market place, weeding through all the vendors can be a job in itself.

VoIP Supply, provider of VoIP Solutions, supplies complete VoIP equipment and solutions by selecting the best vendors in the industry, and it just announced the expansion of its partnership with Mitel Networks and the availability of all its products. This includes the entire line of Aastra Technologies products, which were discontinued, replaced, or renamed when it merged with Mitel.

According to VoIP Supply, before the merger Aastra Technologies was a well-known brand that manufactured IP phones and supplied complete open communication solutions to its customers. After the merger, its brand was relabeled and transitioned over to the Mitel brand.

The merger between both companies was finalized in January 2014. With Aastra Technologies now part of its organization, Mitel has a global customer base of 60 million. This has increased its diversified annual revenue to $1.1 billion, which has made it the number one market share in Western Europe.

At the time of the merger, Richard McBee, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mitel said, “We now have double the talent, tools and range of solutions to aggressively compete for a greater share of our market.”

Mitel provides robust integrated solutions, business phones, integrated business communication platforms, contact center, cloud and collaboration services. The company powers more than 2 billion connections every day to help businesses connect, collaborate and meet the needs of their customers. The presence it has in more than 100 countries across the world is delivered along with its more than 2,500 channel partners.

The Mitel IP phones are designed to address the VoIP needs of small businesses, large enterprises and executive level IP phones. The company offers everything from affordable, entry-level to sophisticated IP phones and devices with cordless handsets, conference units, and attendant consoles.
