Effective communication is one of the key tenets of contact center agents, and without the right equipment, the simple act of talking and listening can get extremely frustrating. To avoid problems related to sub-par audio equipment, operators go out of their way to ensure they have the best technology in place. This includes the deployment of unified communications (UC) to integrate all of their touchpoints, which requires quality hardware to take advantage of the digital solutions the technology provides.  As one of the most established premium headset manufacturers, Sennheiser has announced it has entered into a distribution agreement with 888VoIP, a distributor of VoIP hardware, software, and professional services.

The Sennheiser Group, which is based in Wedemark, Germany was founded in 1945, and since has been recognized for manufacturing high quality microphones, headphones and wireless transmission systems. While the current fad with headphones has been attributed to one popular company currently dominating the market, Sennheiser headphones have been here long before and will be here long after the fad wanes off.

According the new agreement, 888VoIP will be adding Sennheiser high performance UC headsets to its distribution portfolio. The company will be executing the warehousing, logistics and fulfillment of orders for the headphones.

Whether it is contact center agents or office employees that use the headphones all day long, the Sennheiser line is ergonomically designed to fit comfortably while providing globally recognized audio quality and comfort. The patented technology applied on the headphones includes ActiveGard, which prioritizes both ear safety and comfort with soft ear pads, personalized fittings and easily adjustable settings to accommodate the different physical characteristics of each user.

“888VoIP is pleased to be working with Sennheiser. Their company has an impressive track record of success and is well known in the audio industry,” commented Jacob Buckley, 888VoIP Business Development Manager. “Sennheiser headsets bring an incredibly strong value proposition to our channel. We are honored to deliver that value, compounded with our existing value-adds of people, products, and process.”

Headphones can easily be overlooked by businesses, and deploying second-rate products can result in poor performance, bad moral and apathetic interactions with customers by employees. Contact centers are keenly aware of the difference the little things make to keep their agents happy, because as one of the industries with the highest attrition rates, every little bit counts.
