SolveForce Expands SIP VoIP Service to New York

SolveForce, an Ethernet and telecom consulting agency, recently expanded its services to New York City. It will be offering its free online session initiation protocol (SIP) voice-over-IP (VoIP) to help provide businesses with a high-quality product at potentially the lowest cost in the state for such quality.

The company announcement points to the idea that it will be placing its own service up against competitors to show that it can offer both quality and price at levels enterprises can afford. It also explains the company's role in the provision of SIP VoIP and how that plays into the daily communications of companies across the northeast.

The announcement defines SIP as the “enabler protocol” for telephony and VoIP. Simply put, it makes IP-based communications possible by completing a number of roles in initiating and managing calls. For New York businesses, this first means that SIP will handle the identification of their businesses and call recipients regarding their locations. SIP connects Point A with Point B.

There are also a number of features that VoIP can support but which may not be enabled on either end of a call. A prime example of this is that a business may have a full-featured setup that can handle video calling but the consumer on the other end of a call may not. SIP makes sure that shared and disparate capabilities are known. Features may also change during a call, such as when callers switch from voice to video, and SIP will handle those changes as well.

New York businesses will also have access to multi-party calling and call holding on VoIP. Both conferencing and the ability to place callers on hold are key parts of modern telephone systems. SIP allows for both those situations to take place.

SolveForce indicated that its future ambition is to spread to even more coverage areas. Some businesses will take note of information such as that which gives them an idea of how their calling platforms actually work. Of course, there is much more to SIP than just the basics, but this can be a start for any interested parties.
