How to Stand Out Among VoIP Providers

VoIP is hot, and with good reason. But with the popularity of VoIP on the rise almost by the day, competition among business VoIP solutions also is fierce. While there was a time when just offering VoIP was a differentiating element, today there are many competing services that all sound alike to potential customers.

That’s why it is key that you differentiate your company and your VoIP services. Winning the bid to deliver business VoIP services requires a good pitch, and here’s what you should keep in mind:

1. Focus on your experience. “Tell why your team is uniquely qualified,” noted a recent blog post by Nextiva. “An experienced management team always wins over a great idea since success is about execution.” Focus on your firm’s industry experience.

2. Describe the problems your VoIP offering solves. It is easy to trot out features. But features aren’t what really matters. What is really important is what those features deliver in terms of solutions. How does your VoIP offering help the business practically?

3. Show instead of tell. Instead of talking about how good your offering is and how it blows the competition out of the water, show potential customers its value by using testimonials and highlighting current customers.

4. Note strategic alliances. Having partnerships with noteworthy companies helps show confidence in your business and that the right strategic relationships are in place. This can give subtle but important signals to potential clients.

5. Get the math right. One important component of any sales pitch is the numbers. Make sure estimates and projections are both on-target and realistic, since that’s an important element for any potential customer and it shows how competent your business might be. So measure twice and cut once, as my dad used to say; make sure your estimates are correct.

6. Make the pitch engaging. People like to be entertained. And an engaging pitch also helps your business stand out from the rest. Have a strong narrative and a definite angle to your sales pitch.

While there are many VoIP providers, if you put these tips into practice the line of competitors will but just as long but not nearly as successful when it comes to stealing your business.
