Business VoIP Provider Acrobits Unveils SIP App for iPhone

Business VoIP services are known for helping to reduce costs in businesses and simultaneously improving the quality of interactions.

Offering Apple iPhone users a perfect video calling experience, Acrobits, a Prague-based provider of mobile VoIP applications, has debuted an innovative Voice and Video application that combines SmoothFlow person-to-person video technology.

The SmoothFlow video call technology “smooths out” the participants’ movements during the call. The advantage of this solution is that it leverages the tools already available in most smartphones, so customers aren’t required to invest in additional hardware.

The Voice and Video business VoIP solution operates on the Android platform, as well as on the NGN telecommunications network, offering tough competition to Facetime and Skype.

The company has introduced two versions of the Voice and Video applications: a SIP phone version designed for the consumer market and a fully featured business phone application named Groundwire. Both versions include features such as HD Sound, Phone book integration and Avatar Dialing.

The SIP phone version of the Voice and Video application is available from VoIP carriers across the world, while the Groundwire business application is designed to be interoperable with several business VoIP and IP-PBX platforms from leading vendors like Cisco, Avaya and Asterisk.

“Our unique and ubiquitous solutions spell the end for both the home cordless phone and business desk telephone categories as carriers and PBX vendors can now simply provide subscribers with a highly featured OEM Mobile Application that integrates and delivers into their subscribers’ hands the full suite of services such as Voice, Video, IVR and Unified

Communications in a neat branded low cost high quality application developed by Acrobits,” said Nadahl Shocair, executive advisor to Acrobits, in a statement.

The company will release the Android version of the Voice and Video app in the second quarter of 2012.
