Globe Telecom and JAJAH Form Partnership

Globe Telecom, a Philippines based provider of mobile, fixed line, and broadband Internet services, has recently announced that the company has formed a strategic partnership with JAJAH. The partnership will enable Globe Telecom and JAJAH to deliver affordable VoIP services to Filipinos living abroad. Recently, JAJAH was acquired by Telefónica Europe and the new services will be built on JAJAH’s IP Communications Platform which will enable operators, internet companies and other brands to roll out and manage cutting edge calling services.


In a release, the General Manager, JAJAH, Mr. Ori Soen, said that, "With Filipinos spread all over the world, Globe Telecom has a unique opportunity to build its customer base beyond its borders. JAJAH is delivering services that work in over 200 countries around the world, demonstrating how operators can leverage JAJAH's global Platform to expand their market and customer base."

There are approximately 10 million Filipinos living outside Philippines. With this in mind, Globe Telecom chose JAJAH in order to deliver retail VOIP services for the benefit of Filipinos living abroad. The new service will enable them to call home at affordable costs using their existing regular phone with the help of a registration-based service offering. JAJAH has developed a wide range of IP-telephony solutions, including JAJAH Direct, JAJAH@call and JAJAH mobile, and has gained more than 10 million customers globally. JAJAH’s next generation IP communication platform offers a fully managed, scalable infrastructure with white label and outsourced telephony services in more than 200 countries.

The Head of International Business Group, Globe Telecom, Mr. Rizza Maniego-Eala, said that, "It is a constant need for millions of Filipinos around the world to stay connected with friends and family back home. With JAJAH's help, Globe Telecom will be able to significantly expand its direct-to-end user retail VOIP calling service. Partnering with JAJAH allows us to ride on their global footprint."

Globe Telecom focuses on providing full-service telecommunications in Philippines, with its own international gateways, cable landing stations, domestic fiber backhaul and a national access network including data, fiber, 3G/HSDPA. Some of the key wireless and wireline voice and data services provided by Globe includes, Mobile GSM/ 3G/ HSDPA, broadband, PSTN Fixed lines, IDD, NDD, Corporate Data, IPLC, Internet, and bandwidth. Globe has formed partnerships with more than 600 partner networks worldwide.
