Gold Line Telemanagement, a Canadian facilities-based prepaid service provider, has chosen Pactolus as their VoIP
services vendor of choice, and as a strategic partner.
Gold Line wanted to grow the company into a premium facilities-based service provider and become a “one stop shop” with in-house control over all critical aspects of its call quality, service development and delivery.
Realizing that in order to achieve its goal they had to migrate to a more powerful IP
softswitch and service architecture, as well as deploy a comprehensive SIP-based voice service delivery platform and service creation environment, the company chose the Pactolus solution as it offered rapid time to market and proven scale of SIPware services.
The Canadian service provider specifically wanted their new Service Delivery Platform (SDP) and Service Creation Environment (SCE) to be easy to work with, extremely powerful, and have the flexibility to allow rapid introduction of new service products and features.
Also, Pactolus’ object-based RapidFLEX Service Creation Environment enabled the advanced feature extensibility and adaptability.
By migrating its pre-existing services from TDM
to Pactolus’ SIP-based Service Creation & Delivery Platform, Gold Line was able to control call quality, and quickly introduce important new user features such as protecting the subscriber’s identity. The Pactolus platform has allowed the service provider to fully serve its reseller channels. They are also leveraging its SIP
connectivity by expanding its global network of POP and interconnects, which now include IP service POPs worldwide.
Thanks to the innovative services based on Pactolus’ award-winning SIPware Calling Card application and RapidFLEX Service Delivery Platform, Gold Line has been able to expand its prepaid, affinity and promotional calling card market share. Gold Line can also economically add new services because its full service product portfolio can share all voice service network elements and resources.
In addition to helping establish Gold Line as a premium quality service provider, Pactolus has successfully provided the foundation for Gold Line’s expansion of its pre-paid, VoBB and conferencing services.
The flexibility of Pactolus’ RapidFLEX platform has also fueled new channel growth and revenue streams. The platform’s virtual partitioning capabilities enable Gold Line to resell services to other service providers.
