AirTouch Communications has executed a distribution agreement with SYNNEX (News - Alert) Canada Limited, a subsidiary of SYNNEX Corp.
This agreement calls on the company to sell the AirTouch SmartLinX “super router” through SYNNEX Canada's retail channel as a part of the distributor's offerings in the “connected home” category.
With AirTouch SmartLinX, smartphone users can enhance the benefits of their smartphones as they can add “seamless connectivity” from smartphones to landline services. Company officials said it improves the signal quality of calls, as well as enables any smartphone for use of additional applications.
According to company officials, SmartLinX saves mobile minutes by using the consumer's landline rather than cellular plan, and enables users to dial smartphone contacts directly via landline while pairing up to eight smartphones on one base unit.
SmartLinX is also a smart solution for home-based and small businesses, serving up to eight smartphones and boasting the ability to turn a smartphone into a virtual two-line phone and built-in conference/intercom functions.
“We are very excited about the collaboration with SYNNEX Canada and the momentum we are gaining both domestically and internationally for deployment of our SmartLinX products by both service providers and distributors,” said Hide Kanakubo, CEO at AirTouch.
AirTouch is engaged in the development and marketing of patented telecommunications devices capable of converging voice, data, video, security and entertainment, as well as other advanced communications services from various service providers on one piece of hardware.
Earlier in October, the company announced purchase orders for the SmartLinX "super router” that enables smartphone users to “keep the cord” or landline, enhancing the signal quality of calls, among other benefits.
