CTI Group and Alteva Make Hosted VoIP Call Recording Affordable

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

In a bid to offer their small business and enterprise customers a call recording solution to meet their cost and security needs, hosted VoIP provider Alteva (News - Alert), recently partnered with CTI Group for the company’s hosted call recording solution.

The move to attain a call recording solution came as Alteva realized the importance of meeting the growing needs of the VoIP industry by offering the latest applications and features.

As businesses strive to meet their budgets and keep costs in control during these economic times, the company knew going with a hosted offering, like that offered by CTI (News - Alert) Group, would allow them to provide necessary applications, at an affordable price point.

“We are proud to join forces with Alteva to provide call recording to the hosted VoIP market. By adding applications, like call recording, to their platform, Alteva is able to provide cost effective features their customers need to fully transition to hosted VoIP,” said Sid Rao, Chief Technology Officer, CTI Group (News - Alert).

“Customers can continue to run their business as before and even add unified communications and other features that improve business processes, employee productivity and overall profitability. Call recording not only provides businesses with the ability to better monitor and manage their ongoing communications, it also provides a security blanket when it comes to regulatory compliance and exposure to legal liability.”

As per the partnership, CTI Group will provide their hosted call recording offering, SmartRecord IP, on Alteva’s hosted VoIP platform.

SmartRecord IP is a hosted offering that eliminates the need for premise-based recording equipment and packet-sniffing technologies. Through the solution, CTI Group is able to capture telephone conversations by “acting as a central recording device within the network.”

This offering made the perfect fit for Alteva as well, because the company offers IP telephony service using Broadsoft’s BroadWorks switching platform.

Earlier this year, CTI Group announced that it partnered with Broadcore to enable the delivery of its VoIP call recording solution, SmartRecordIP through BroadSoft's (News - Alert) BroadWorks platform.

“Alteva is eager to add the applications that our customers need, but we want to be sure that the applications we choose are the best fit for our business model. With no proprietary hardware or software installation required, CTI Group’s call recording allows customers to simply log in to the online system and begin reviewing call data without any pesky roadblocks. This fits perfectly into our business model since we pride ourselves on the fact that our hosted service has no significant cost or operational barriers, making the crossover to hosted VoIP painless to small and large businesses alike,” said William Bumbernick, CEO of Alteva.
