RadiSys to Showcase SIPware Prepaid and Postpaid Calling Card Solution

By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor

RadiSys Corporation, a provider of hardware and software platforms for next-generation IP-based wireless, wireline and video networks, has announced it will attend an upcoming industry event focuses on the prepaid industry, to showcase its SIPware Prepaid and Postpaid Calling Card solutions.

According to company officials, both services allow wireless, wireline and MSO providers bypass many economic, integration and architectural disruptions that otherwise inhibit new service rollouts.

This, company officials say, reframes the service reach and potential subscriber base for prepaid and postpaid services with important new revenue generation capabilities and support such as-enhanced matrix rating; callback trigger options; postpaid integrated long distance dialing and inline billing capabilities among other advantages.

SIPware has long been recognized as a key IP card-based long distance calling service for authentication of subscriber services through IVR-based and ANI identification processes, and for callback connection services.

Company officials said that SIPware Prepaid and Postpaid Services are easily and quickly customized with RadiSys (News - Alert) RapidFLEX Service Creation Environment “SCE,” an object-based developer tool that significantly reduces service creation cycle times and costs.

With the advanced capabilities, service provider deployment modalities of SIPware Prepaid and Postpaid Services are also sharply expanded.

Back in July RadiSys announced the Promentum C2 Server, the industry's first pre–integrated, portable ATCA platform designed to provide the performance and features required for rugged, ground mobile applications in the Mil/Aero industry. The C2 Server leverages LCR Electronics' (News - Alert) ruggedized ATCA chassis and Astute Networks' Edge Storage Blades in a rapidly deployable, higher performance platform with a more than 30 percent weight decrease and lower power consumption than current Rack Mount Servers (RMS).

As the military continues to expand its network centric warfare capabilities and integrate more platforms, there is an increased need for mobile computing and communications infrastructure that can be quickly deployed in the field.

The C2 Server is specifically designed to meet these performance, weight and ruggedization requirements for mobile command and control customers.
