RadiSys recently announced that it now is reselling OpenClovis’ middleware and application development tools, bundled with RadiSys’own Promentum AdvancedTCA platform.
In a statement, RadiSys President and CEO Scott Grout said that OpenClovis’ technology helps network equipment vendors build platform management and high availability into their next-gen products—quickly and cost effectively.
Open Clovis’ CEO, V.K. Budhraja, added in a statement: “The combination of RadiSys Promentum platforms and OpenClovis ASP middleware gives the communications industry the flexibility and carrier grade functionality it demands to deliver new value add services and products in a fraction of the time and cost it took on traditional platforms.”
Budhraja continued: “By together providing fully integrated high value standards-based solutions, we can help equipment manufacturers reduce overall development time and significantly reduce development, lifecycle and equipment costs.”
RadiSys said that the integrated solution, using technology from both companies, is suitable for a range of network uses, including application servers, RNC/BSC, media gateway, security gateway, IPTV (News - Alert), 3G/WiMAX and IMS core elements.
The new offering, available now, is an off-the-shelf solution that’s aligned with industry standards, and comes pre-integrated with various Linux distributions (including MontaVista, Wind River, and Red Hat).
