ManageEngine, a provider of cost-effective network, systems, applications and security management software solutions, announced the release of ManageEngine (News - Alert) IT360 9.0, the company's first Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)-ready integrated IT management solution.

According to Sridhar Iyengar, vice president of product management at ManageEngine, IT360 provides an affordable alternative for IT management and makes it easier for organizations to manage IT in a unified way.

“IT360 includes advanced features such as Business Service monitoring, SLA management, configurable dashboards, and an ITIL service desk, a combination typically available only in high cost solutions,” Iyengar added.

With ManageEngine IT360 9.0, enterprises can gain a single dashboard view of their IT infrastructure, including physical and virtual networks, servers and applications. The service also integrates service desk management.

“The new solution enhances the performance and efficiency of service delivery by adding the service catalog to the existing list of ITIL-ready features, such as incident, problem and change management, as well as configuration management database (CMDB),” company officials said.

With IT360, IT department can define the set of services available at a given point of time. They can also maintain a comprehensive workflow for service requests, ensuring those services are delivered effectively and on time.

To further enhance the IT360, ManageEngine has added the latest virtual networking technologies, including Microsoft's (News - Alert) Hyper-V and VMware ESX/ESXi servers, as well as the virtual machines configured within these servers.

With these enhancements, ManageEngine allows network operations teams to easily monitor the health of critical business resources, troubleshoot problems quickly, reduce VM downtime and eliminate application and overall performance bottlenecks.

Recently, ManageEngine announced improvements to ManageEngine Applications Manager by adding the capability for automated provisioning of virtual resources. These enhancements are done to ensure that sufficient server resources are continuously available to support dynamic virtualized environments.
